What is it? Build life saving Sleep Pods for rough sleepers in a fun and rewarding team building experience. A great CSR initiative, this workshop requires teams of 2-3 people to each build an insulated sleep tunnel which will then be donated to a shelter.
How long is it? 2 - 3 hours.
How is it hosted? All materials, tools, and on-site guidance are provided - the team will also take away the constructed pods to be distributed after the event.
How much is it? From £2,100 + VAT - please enquire for further details based on group size and location.
Venue requirements? An indoor space is preferred, requiring approximately 3m×2m per team of 2-3. Participants may need to work on the floor (tables can be used if needed). A screen for videos and a microphone for large groups is required.
What does a Sleep Pod building experience entail?
The session begins with an introduction into what are Sleep Pods, the importance of them and how you will directly contribute to making a difference for rough sleepers.
The session will commence with teams of 2-3 people and your host will guide you through each step of constructing a Sleep Pod.
Hosts will be available throughout the build to answer any questions and offer assistance as needed.
All necessary materials for building the Sleep Pods will be provided.
A screen is required for presenting, and a microphone will be needed for large groups.
The team will collect the built pods to add final additions and quality check.

Sleep Pod is a UK charity committed to aiding rough sleepers by providing vital emergency one-person shelters. The lightweight, insulated Sleep Pods offer warmth and dryness in extreme weather and are distributed freely through UK partnerships. Recognising the critical and growing issue of homelessness, Sleep Pods are reported by partners to be life-saving in harsh winters. They serve as a crucial tool for outreach workers to connect with individuals and support their path to stable housing. In the last year, over 2,300 Sleep Pods were distributed, with demand continuing to rise. Looking ahead, Sleep Pod aims to produce and distribute to 2,700 this winter. Beyond this, Sleep Pod partners with UK prisons and youth justice services, engaging individuals in the construction of Sleep Pods to develop skills, provide purpose, and aid rehabilitation.
