Mission Moon: Lunar Team Challenge.
Teams are placed in an imaginary Moon survival scenario, facing a series of challenges that require communication, problem-solving and collaboration.
What is it? Mission Moon is a collaborative problem-solving and team-building experience that places participants in an imaginative lunar scenario. After an emergency Moon landing, teams must work together to make critical decisions, solve creative challenges and build the equipment they need to complete their mission.
How long is it? The standard experience lasts approximately 2.5–3 hours, with a shorter 90-minute version also available on demand.
How much is it? £650 + VAT for up to 30 guests. Please enquire for larger groups. A travel charge may apply.
Where can this be hosted? The experience can be hosted at your office or a venue of your choice.
What does it entail?
Mission Moon takes teams through a series of connected challenges designed to test how they communicate, make decisions and solve problems together. From prioritising essential survival equipment to designing and presenting a lunar creation, every stage gives participants a different way to contribute.
1. The Moon Survival Challenge
The mission begins with an emergency landing scenario. Teams are given a selection of items they might have available following their arrival on the Moon and must decide which are most important for survival.
Discuss and assess the usefulness of different items.
Negotiate with teammates and agree on a shared ranking.
Challenge assumptions and explain individual decisions.
Compare the team's choices with NASA's established ranking.
Explore how communication, influence, decision-making and different perspectives affect group outcomes.
2. The Lunar Design Challenge
With survival priorities established, teams receive a creative mission brief and a limited selection of everyday and recycled materials.
Design a lunar vehicle, shelter, module or piece of equipment.
Generate ideas and agree on a shared approach.
Allocate roles and responsibilities across the team.
Build, test and adapt the design as the mission develops.
Find creative solutions to practical construction problems.
Materials may include cardboard, paper, foil, tubes, string, masking tape, elastic bands and other recycled construction materials.
3. Mission Presentation
Once their lunar creations are complete, teams present their designs to the group.
Explain what the creation does and how it supports the mission.
Talk through key design decisions and challenges.
Share how the team approached the task.
Celebrate different ideas and creative solutions.
Reflect on what the challenge revealed about the way the team works together.
What will your team get from it?
Mission Moon gives teams a fun and immersive way to practise communication, collaboration and decision-making outside their usual working environment. The facilitated reflection connects the experience back to the workplace, encouraging participants to consider how they listen, negotiate, share responsibility, adapt to challenges and value different perspectives.

Access to the room before and after the session.
Waste or recycling facilities for used construction materials.
A screen or projector is useful for introducing the mission and displaying visual references, but it is not essential.
