What is it? In this hands-on Kintsugi Workshop, your team will learn the philosophy behind this centuries-old Japanese practice before carefully repairing and restoring their own ceramic piece to create a meaningful keepsake to take home. Guests will safely prepare their ceramic piece, reconstruct it using specialist adhesives and finish the repaired joins with beautiful metallic detailing inspired by traditional gold repair. No previous experience is required, and all materials and tools are provided.
How long is it? 60 minutes.
How is it hosted? Hosted by an experienced instructor, the workshop begins with an introduction to the history and philosophy of Kintsugi before guiding participants through each stage of the repair process. Suitable for complete beginners, the experience combines creativity, mindfulness and storytelling, making it an engaging activity for corporate teams looking to slow down, connect and learn something new.
