How is it hosted? This is a live, interactive workshop designed for remote participation only. Participants join from their own device and space, are encouraged to engage throughout, and ideally have their camera and microphone enabled. The session includes group discussion and a fishbowl-style exercise with volunteer participation.

What does it entail?

This workshop builds practical, immediately applicable feedback skills through a structured and interactive approach. Participants begin by examining common beliefs about feedback, why it can feel uncomfortable, where it often breaks down, and how it can be reframed as a tool for growth rather than criticism.

Grounded in Radical Candor by Kim Scott, the session introduces a clear framework for balancing care personally with challenging directly. Participants reflect on their own feedback tendencies, identify strengths and blind spots, and learn a practical structure for delivering feedback effectively.

The workshop then moves into hands-on practice. Through a guided fishbowl-style activity, volunteers take part in a short exercise while peers practice delivering real-time feedback using the framework, creating a safe space to test and refine their approach.

Equal emphasis is placed on receiving feedback well. Participants explore strategies for showing openness, curiosity, and gratitude, behaviours that invite honest input and strengthen trust while gaining tools and language they can apply immediately in their workplace conversations.
