The Art of Florigami.
Florigami is a wonderful way to explore the beauty and versatility of paper. Crepe paper has a soft, flexible texture that can be stretched, shaped and moulded to create remarkably realistic petals and leaves.
Participants will learn techniques such as:
Cutting and shaping individual petals
Folding and layering crepe paper
Stretching and moulding paper to create natural curves
Building flower centres and layered blooms
Creating leaves and botanical details
Combining different colours and shades
Arranging individual flowers into a beautiful finished piece
The host will show them techniques for creating petals and then the participants can choose from a beautiful selection of crepe paper colours and experiment with different combinations to create flowers that reflect their own style.
Is there any customisation available?
For larger groups, participants can each create an individual flower before bringing them together into a collective team bouquet or floral display - creating a lovely collaborative element to the workshop.
Flowers can also be designed around a particular colour palette, brand colours or seasonal theme, making them a beautiful addition to an event or workplace display.
The workshop can be tailored throughout the year with different flowers, colours and botanical themes, including:
Spring: Soft pastels, tulips, blossom and delicate wildflowers.
Summer: Bright florals, colourful meadow flowers and vibrant botanical arrangements.
Autumn: Warm rust, burgundy, mustard and terracotta tones with autumnal foliage.
Christmas: Festive flowers, winter foliage, poinsettias, berries and seasonal colours, creating beautiful handmade decorations or arrangements.
