Creative Bag-Making Workshop.
Make a beautiful handmade bag while learning the art of macramé.
What is it? In this creative workshop, guests learn how to make their own macramé bag from scratch using sparkly cord in their chosen colour. Designed for complete beginners, this relaxed and sociable experience combines step-by-step guidance with plenty of time to get stuck into the making.
How long is it? Allow approximately 3 hours in total, including setup and pack-down. The main guest activity takes around 1–2 hours, followed by approximately 45–75 minutes for the handles to be completed by the instructor. The timings are flexible and can be adapted around your team's schedule.
How is it hosted? The workshop is hosted in person at your chosen venue. Guests work alongside one another to create their bags, with the host providing a demonstration at the beginning and hands-on support throughout.
How much is it? £130pp + VAT, with a minimum of 6 guests and a maximum of 10 guests per session. Travel fee will apply.
Where can this be hosted? The workshop can be hosted at your office or a venue of your choice.
What does Bag-Making Workshop entail?
The session begins with an introduction to the craft and a live demonstration before everyone gets started on their own handmade bag. Guests are provided with everything they need to get making, including their chosen sparkly cord, equipment and a handmade satin pouch designed to fit neatly inside the finished bag. A step-by-step guide keeps everyone on track, while the host moves around the group throughout the session, offering guidance and hands-on support wherever needed. No previous crafting or macramé experience is needed, making this a relaxed and accessible experience for teams looking to try something completely new.
Everything needed for the workshop is provided, including:
Sparkly macramé cord in a colour of your choice
A handmade satin pouch for each guest
All crafting equipment and materials
Guidance and support throughout the workshop
Completion of the bag handles after the main session by the instructor. The handle-finishing stage can be arranged around your wider event schedule. If guests need to leave once the main workshop is complete, the instructor can stay behind at the venue and finish the handles, with the completed bags available for the team to collect the following day. Alternatively, for offsite events, the instructor can take the bags away to complete the handles and arrange for the finished bags to be sent back to the office.
Each guest leaves with their own handmade bag and matching satin pouch.
Shorter format available
The workshop can be adapted to suit your schedule. For events with less time, some of the bag can be prepared in advance so guests can focus on the main creative stages during the session. The amount of preparation can be adjusted depending on the time available, making this a flexible option for team days, conferences, corporate events and shorter creative sessions.

Your workshop is led by Priya, an experienced creative host who discovered bag-making as a way to bring creativity and self-expression into everyday life. After a decade working in banking, she made the move into the creative world and now shares her passion for craft through hands-on workshops.
Her sessions are designed to give people the opportunity to slow down, learn something new and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.
